The disappearance of a demo (Rumors) -- by yPArAH

A Praetorians demo version appeаred on the pages of GameSpy some night ago, but it was very soon to be removed. Later, an information leak statement was made, if you know what I mean. As it turns out, the version was unofficial. Hmm, interesting! Some people were fast enough to download it, but most will have to wait. So continue waiting!
The confound demo was located here.

Come see (Gallery update) -- by yPArAH

We've got many updates! Fresh screenshots from Haegemonia and two new clips from another space strategy, O.R.B. Also, a couple of shots from C&C: Generals. If this screenshot is all but new, why the crappy models?

Texts from around the world (General news) -- by yPArAH

Heck, more interviews today. First of all - one with the developers of Platoon. As it turns out, the game is gonna be modular, with the possibility of adding free distributed campaigns in the future (now that's interesting!). Also, they are planning to release a map editor, user-friendly and time-consuming (how's that?). The remaining texts are more or less cut and dried interviews with developers of Robin Hood and Soldiers of Anarchy. But, there's still one interesting piece considering Etherlords 2. As predicted, the game will have 5 campaigns, respectively equal to the number of races.

As a bonus - three new shots in our gallery.

Prices going up, up, up (LSN) -- by yPArAH

There's an interesting interview with the Codo Games president published on this site. As it turns out, developers are still hoping to make an extended version of LSN with LAN and single-player modes available. Future plans of the company include becoming a publisher - an online games publisher, to be precise. Wonder how's that...
meanwhile the half-year subscription fee was raised to $25. But! People with subscription referrals will get $5 for each. Ni-i-i-ice, LSN goes in for MLM. What a headline...

Gonzo does not comment the cause of his leaving. Maybe he is sick of making games about war? Who knows...
According to an anonymous source, it is possible that 11 more people will join him.

A sequel? So soon? (Paradise Cracked) -- by yPArAH

Not even a patch for the recently released role-playing tactical game Paradise Cracked has seen the light, and the developers are already speculating on the possibilities of creating Paradise Cracked 2. According to a close-to-developers source, the probability of such an event is defined as "ten to one". All the developers have to do is to gather the quarterly sales information, submit it to the publisher and make a decision. Let's hope the creation of the sequel won't take another three years :-)

The fate of the project (Dreamland) -- by yPArAH

New entries in the developers' diaries of UFO: Aftermath tell the readers about the big bad Titus chiseling ALTAR (if I am not mistaken, that particular Titus bought Interplay recently...). That's bad news, but the developing folk are still promising to release the game around the first quarter of the year 2003 года and to announce the new publisher soon. Our guess is British Empire, but that's only a guess.
Meanwhile, take your time to look through our gallery, where you'll find several new screenshots and two renders of monsters.
Yum-yum.

A trailer (Site news) -- by yPArAH

Nival Interactive was most kind to send us a gameplay clip from their soon to be finished Blitzkrieg wargame. The message from the developers follows:

"No screenshot will give you such a complete scope of the game, as this engine-based clip. See the action and destruction: bombing runs, air skirmishes, paratrooper drops, collapsing cities, ironclad train and the famous 600mm "Karl" mortar, tank battles and swift infantry manoeuvres... A must-see for all combantatnts ready to participate in the operation "Blitzkreig", as well as for all compassionate civilians."

Err, news... (General news) -- by yPArAH

We have two significant pieces of news to tell.
First comes an interview with Warrior Kings developers, where details of project Warrior Kings: Battles are discussed. As people of Black Cactus confess, they always admired the solidity of Empire (that's a British publisher, if you didn't know), that's why the packed their things and left Microids. While the first part of the game had some kind of a highly developed plotline, in the expansion the developers are planning to concentrate on the network aspects of it. The story of Battles will take place a hundred years after the events of the original game, yet this time we will not stick to the oh-so-general epical confrontation between good and evil completed with empire's courtier squabbles. The task will be plain and simple - conquer Orbis. As usual, the game will have new units added.
More details on Battles can be found in this interview.

Second nearly interesting nearly event is once again an interview with Robin Hood developer, found at Action Vault IGN. If you're up to it, see the old screenies and read about well-known facts right here.

Addon is been burned (General news) -- by yPArAH

The Real War: Rogue States add-on is gone gold (hate that expression - somebody give me another!). 14 new missions, 20 new skirmish maps and a bunch o'new units. All this stuff will appear in stores sometime soon (Windows version only).
Want more? Read all about the "super-scale" changes in the game in this interview. Digest is the following: the nonexistent AI will be upgraded (how's that?), teamplay with resource excahge will be added. The usual...
